[Greenbuilding] Bob's log splitter

Here's a wood splitter I just built for my neighbor, Bob Davis. It runs off the hydraulics from a 14 horsepower 1973 Case 644 tractor. I mounted a traction control valve on the rear fender and put some quick disconnects on it, this acts as a control valve for the splitter. This was cheaper than a splitter valve, which would've been a better option. The log splitter is stationary, it is tied to the woodshed. The I beam came out of the scrap pile, it was part of an old bridge. It's a used cylinder from a tractor, the rest I built from my scrap pile. In the video, I meant to say that Bob has a wood cook stove, and that's why he needs shorter pieces. Please subscribe to my YouTube videos. Doug
