[Greenbuilding] Chest type Freezer efficiency

At one point I saw email traffic on  a comparison of chest type freezers to
vertical models.  Yes they are considerably more efficient.  When I lived
in Germany those were the norm in grocery stores. Here in Alexandria, they
use the vertical ones( cheaper energy, better display) .   There was even a
discussion on one engineering type who detuned a chest type freezer to the
level of a refrigerator.  He may have been single.
