Re: [Greenbuilding] tankless heaters redux No detailed experience or referral, but my immediate gut reaction is to picture a knockoff with a probably short lifespan. Takagi, a Japanese brand, has a great reputation. Have you also priced out Bosch, Rinnai, and/or Noritz—all large brands?

I've read the Amazon reviews on the former, most of which are positive. But not all. The cost difference is considerable.
