Staggering 1/2 tonne per person per year cement, production!

I am firmly in the "we must promote personal responsibility and reduction in personal use" COMBINED with "we need better 
technologies" camp.  Articles like this, while I find them exciting, almost always lack emphasis on personal 
responsibility.  I wish all news articles would talk about the historical trends of energy use per capita, and remind 
everyone that behavior matters.  I think people need to be constantly reminded that behavior matters.  I also think that 
without that reminder, these articles encourage people to think, "someone else will take care of this problem for me 
through SCIENCE!"
