[Greenbuilding] green glue in a vertical orientation, tips

I have used green glue in a floor-sandwich, with mixed success. This time I
am going to try to use it between the studs and two layers of drywall hung
on a wall. Can I skip all fasteners? Does the glue hold the weight of 5/8"
drywall? Should I expect to have to support the bottom edge? Inside corner
details? All experience is welcome.
