Due to new commitments and new challenges but still within the Biogas
sector I pass on my web domains (anaerobic-digestion technology,
anaerobic-digestion-technologies and anaerobic-digestion-advise all
ending with .com and .co.uk) with or without site content. Current traffic is above 1100 individual visitors per month. My
Facebook profile (Bio Gas) with over 4200 friends and an email database
with about 5000 individuals and all involved in AD, renewable energy and recycling is
included. If anybody would like to take over this marketing tool then
please contact me for further details. Thanks.WS Consulting UK

Subject: Biogas Microbiology 2011: Call for abstracts

Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to announce that following the request of several
participants we have extended the final date for abstract submission to 31st
May, 2011.

Just as a reminder, the "1st International Conference on Biogas
Microbiology" will take place in Leipzig, Germany, September 14th -September
16th, 2011.

The scientific program will include keynote lectures and specific sessions
honored by one or two invited lectures from renowned scientists in the
corresponding field and with offered presentations from the participants,
following selection by the Scientific Committee.

We will also put a great respect to the poster session and the best three
posters will be awarded.

Registration and abstract submission is only possible online via the
following link on our homepage:

<https://www.conftool.net/biogas-microbiology-2011/>
https://www.conftool.net/biogas-microbiology-2011/

The maximum length of the abstract should not exceed 3000 characters
including spaces. Title, authors and affiliations do not count as there is a
separate field for these data. Submitting figures and tables in the abstract
is not permitted.

You will find all information after you have created an account for the
online registration tool under
<https://www.conftool.net/biogas-microbiology-2011/>
https://www.conftool.net/biogas-microbiology-2011/

If you have any problem with the registration, don't hesitate to contact us.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Leipzig!

On behalf of the Organizing Committee

Our Danish technical guys are very familiar with it. Some comments:

1. It is 6% nitrogen, so you have to have abundant low-nitrogen material as
substrates to balance the nitrogen-to-carbon ratio.

2. The schedules for chicken producers cleaning out their buildings vary and
the seasonality can be a real problem. This stuff is difficult to store at a
biogas plant and feed in over time on a more steady schedule needed for
biogas.

3.  Local producers often exchange bedding for chicken manure, so the
producers get something for it from the farmers in exchange for using it as
fertilizer. If this occurs, it is tough to make the economics work, since
the chicken guys are getting generally paid in kind by farmers.

* Introduction to biogas technology, design calculation and feasibility studies
* Fundamentals of biological process control & insitu process control
* Process monitoring and practical plant operation
* UK Health & Safety issues, Safety features of biogas plants and equipment
* Introduction to design, planning and process engineering
* Approval conditions and permits for building and running an AD project in UK
* Substrate-Input, gas yield according to the substrates composition
* Organic industrial waste and fermentation technology
* Financing and funding your biogas project, Income from Energy
* Connecting to the grid in the UK
* Digestate Standard ? PAS110 & ADQP, Ecological digestate management
* Process and external heat and gas engineering, Biogas specific building materials
* Gas cleaning and desulphurisation, Practical cogeneration to heat and power in gas and dual fuel engines
