A convo from a insurance industry rep... not an agent...

------------------------------------

Howdy Paula,

While I would like to write this account for you, I don't believe that this
is he right time.

This Insured is just beginning to look to start up a business. In the
renewable Energy Industry, there is more competition that is imaginable due
to various RECS (renewable energy credits) that different States are
providing. As an example, New Jersey is the #1 State in Solar Power today.

What we have found that in addition to the normal exposures produced from
this Industry, that there is also a substantial exposure that is directly
tied to the Contracts that are utilized in the Operations (Power Purchase
Agreements and Interconnection Agreements).

When this Insured produces a Pro-forma that outlines his expenditures, and
expected incomes generated, he may want to allow for potential seepage to
occur due to the nature of "who he plans on contracting with".

When we then combine the exposures that we know this individual will be
producing, i.e.- using somewhat new and unproven technologies, aligned with
Engineering and erection of a Biomass generating plant, while we could
potentially offer coverage the premium that we would need would be seen as
Excessively abnormal, and potentially unjustified by this Client.

I would rather wait until this Insured has been in business for a while, and
allow for some Industry maturation and look to offer a quote when we know
that:, - (1)-the boat will float,, &,, (2)-the long term Course the Boat is
taking while navigating with the other boats on the lake (Energy producing
entities aligned with Solar and Wind).

Thanks for your understanding Paula, but I am going to pass on this one.
