Hi Paul, Rolf and Colleagues,
Rolf and I have previously discussed this project in detail, or at least
as far as one can go when there are no $$, expertise, or investors
willing to risk their shirt. Dreams and opportunity need a lot of effort
to materialize, and not all of this can be done with written
instruction. The more than daunting task of this project is to prove the
ceramic marble dust firing process, not to make charcoal, even if it is
a potential supportive income. To do this even as a trial will require
some $$ and access to a willing skilled metal worker. Proof of concept
will then enable potential investors to face reduced risk. Making
charcoal is a tonnage process, and the pyrolysis gas volumes more
consistent with a commercial refractory application, so that has to be
seen as a second stage project.
Without any doubt about what does what or how, this project can be made
to happen given we now have SKYPE as an aid. I can suggest a way
forward, and will think about details as I get outside right now to
start dropping another of my Eucalyptus plantation. It's firewood time
in NZ. Always priorities for one mans time!
Will return later today to continue.
Doug Williams.
