Since 1989, the National Wetlands Awards have honored more than 150
outstanding individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary effort,
innovation, and excellence in wetland conservation, research, and
education. Award recipients demonstrate the tremendous impact individual
dedication makes - inspiring greater stewardship of our national
wetlands heritage. Recipients are chosen by a selection committee of
wetland experts from across the country and honored at a ceremony in
Washington, DC each May - American Wetlands Month.
