[Greenbuilding] living wall

A friend om mine used galvanized "chicken wire" style mesh. This was in
part to save the mortar and brick from the invasive ivy her husband
coveted on the house wall.

I can't attest to the longevity (nor do I recall what she used for the
horizontal support). I do recall that small plants were easily
anchored in the mesh and became very secure when they'd grown a bit.

FWIW, he used some vines as well as other plants. The vines actually
grew down the mesh.
