Lynelle,
Were you thinking of using an insulating material under the bamboo? I would
like to replace a worn carpet with a 4X8 insulating material (preferable 4'
x 8') (celotex?), then bamboo. Mine is over a pier and beam, continually
shifting.

Subject: [Greenbuilding] Bamboo Floor, Radiant Heat and Thermal Mass
A question....
How much mass would I lose by floating bamboo flooring over a slab floor
in a passive solar home? South glass exposure is significant (25%) of
south wall, but 3' overhangs allow direct sun in December and January only.
Many thanks!
Lynelle
