given that you say sunlight reaches this area of the floor ( i assume you are not covering the entire floor) only in january and feb ( and by extension   btw dec) and nov), and with only a 25% south wall glass area ( not 50 or 80), it is not that likely that the house is overheating to the point of requiring ventilation on a clear sunny day ( even the third in a row.) in the dead of winter.  so the need for the mass beneath the proposed mat is not that great.   why not try it in a non permanent way and see if the house overheats on sunny days

generally i prefer exposed concrete in direct gain passive solar houses, but sometimes aesthetics or foot comfort overrule.  then you seek alternative storage, ( walls as suggested below)  or water containers.

also some effort at movable night insulation in colder climates can achieve same results or better than added mass.
