[Greenbuilding] water product

I don't know about this product but the science is pretty solid that
turbulence affects changes in water - you only have to observe rocks in a
stream to get that one. Turbulence introduced in pipes has long been used
for improving stormwater quality. Sonic turbulence is another technology
that is finding applications (dehumidification, etc.) . It definitely makes
changes in water. How effective or what those changes are effective for
seems up for discussion. Increased turbulence has been shown to both
decrease and increase bacterial content in pipes - meaning there has been a
lot of research and some of it is contradictory. Technology spins off a lot
of products and the claims often hurt the technology - which in itself is
not a scam.

Water quality is an issue - I am worried about what will be determined about
long term usage of polyethylene water distribution pipe. Not just an issue
of chemicals from the piping so much as bacterial contamination that might
become an issue.

Really...........?

So what is it made of, and what do you suppose makes it resonate?

I guess it's just as well it is supposed to resonate ultrasonically. That
way, none of the suckers can complain that they can't hear it.

It certainly look like metal and it appears to be fixed with a metal screw.
So what stops it conducting heat away from a hot water pipe?

And now that I have done some homework, it is clear that the bleeding
obvious has been substantiated. Yes, it is a scam, and anybody with a junior
high school education only needs to actually read the nonsence on their
website to understand that.

It looks like Mr. Winston did go to school - and he adeqautely sums it up.

Nick: It's not just a "metal plate clamped onto the pipe"; it's an
ultrasonic resonator that extracts energy from running water. It takes a
while to begin working and will NOT "cost you heat energy" either.

Before you condemn an invention you should do some homework. Carmine
