I remember it was only several years ago that there was nothing "green" about kitchen cabinets in general...

A well established cabinet company I use is getting rid of their Lyptus wood choice altogether, due mostly to the fact that Weyerhaeuser can no longer guarantee the color consistency that the cabinet maker requires. I've never purported Lyptus as a green choice to my clients. After I explain exactly what it takes to get it here, its no longer all that romantic.

Its a strange and funny thing: I still remember the smell of the eucalyptus trees when I lived in Pacifica, California. They were brought there at the turn of the century because some company thought they'd make a good 2x4. They were wrong, and now there's eucalyptus trees all over the place out there. 

I vote that it is legitimate alright; legitimately hogwash.
