[Greenbuilding] Question on tight house, carbon monoxide

So to clarify, I’m gaining nothing in using that vent for moisture dissipation? I do think the vent is trapping moisture as the windows aren’t fogging up when I use it but did before when I did not. If it’s just for grease and odors, I’ll stop wasting the power in using it.

They're just a second-best solution to dealing with grease and odors when exterior venting is not possible. I've often had to resort to them in apartment renovations. They're moderately effective at best.
I doubt they'd have any effectiveness on gasses such as CO since they aren't readily filterable. Nor on heat dissipation.

I've never understood the purpose of those vent hood fans that have no provision to connect to the outside? What is the point? Mix it up a bit while using electricity?
