I haven't yet taken the time to read the above file but I did have a quick  
look at some of the pictures.

One of the things that caught my eye was the seeming preference for  
masonry construction.

Obviously, the metal ties (pages 15 & 23) between the masonry wythes  
represent thermal bridges and perhaps not so obviously, are highly  
susceptible to corrosion and eventual failure.

Have alternatives for ties using non-conductive materials (ie Fibre  
Reinforced Polymer Composites (FRPC)  been utilised in other PassivHaus  
buildings ?
