I am not sure where that came from. Ticks climb all the time. They
climb from the ground up unto vegetation from which the transfer to
animals. Once on an animal they climb up until the find a good place to
dine.
Despite getting a lot of ticks ON me, I am not bit by, but 1 in 20, as I
feel them climbing, and pick them off.
