Not if you don't consume factory farmed meat, dairy and eggs. But I suppose that is the agro-business system. Grains & Soy come from the same system, but we wouldn't need so much if we didn't have the factory farm demands.

So, going back to Alan's heretical observation, yes we do have to address our expectation. But perhaps more importantly we have to find a way of address this economic system that promotes unnecessary consumption.
