Rachel, 

I can speak only of my vortex mixed borate it will last until it is
contaminated with other materials, it will also soak into four 2 by sixes
drywall screwed together. I mix one pound of borate to one gallon of water
as the label states. You could get near the same with grocery store
detergent 20 Mule Team detergent. You can do the same by using a paint mixer
in an electric drill, if you use the 5 gallon size mixer in a 5 gallon
bucket, you must keep it from freezing weather, lf you don't it will turn
into a block of borate not unlike a rock. Google boron/borate , arthritis
cancer. I have been using it as an insecticide for 22 years. Bear in mind, I
killed a 14-16 inch oak tree by draining the mixture from my 100 gallon tank
on the ground below the tree, it did take it 22 years to do so, in that the
10% mixture is a herbicide, at 1/3 #  per gallon, it is a fertilizer/plant
nutrient, farmers use it as such. If they don't supplement their soil our
diets don't get the boron we need. This is why we need to supplement our
diets with Tri-boron to ease our arthritis pain; T-B also helps conventional
cancer medications to relieve symptoms. When your hands dry out ease off.
The above is a concise statement of my 20 years of using the borate, in that
I poisoned myself using conventional pest control poisons. After a couple of

I have 2 questions for the group:

 

1.       Does anyone know of a regionally produced high recycled content
wood floor sound underlayment?

2.       What have been people's experience with multi-family building pest
control?  Even eco-insecticides are still insecticides!
