[Greenbuilding] Northeast Sandy rebuilding

We were lucky enough, here in Maryland, to only be down for 2 days from
Sandy with no damage. But we are following an inquiry about helping the
rebuilding process in NJ and NY so that as families rebuild they do it with
a priority on green attributes and, in the shadow of Katrina & ³passive
survivability², to be prepared for the next time.

Given that both NY Governor Cuomo and mayor Bloomberg have both pegged
climate change on Sandy and said they expect this to happen again, there¹s a
window to move people into proaction.

We would welcome any info, advice, leads for organizations, associations,
chapters, NGOs, and agencies to talk to, and other thoughts relating to the
state of the building and remodeling markets, gauging the absorption of
green, potholes and barriers, how permitting works, the use of unions and
subcontractors, and other concerns on the ground that can make-or-break
success.

Thx,

Jason Holstine
