thank you Rob Tom.

As a thank you, check out this photo of rarely seen Whooping Cranes, taken
off yesterday, flying south from the middle of Kansas (Quivera Nat'l Park)
where they lit for a quick stop on their way to more benign climates.

What device is best most practical to use for measuring humidity?

Years ago before Don Fugler had retired from CMHC he had put together a
homeowner's guide to managing humidity.

It included a blurb on the types of hygrometers that are readily available.

It recommended those which the homeowner can calibrate themselves and
provided instructions on how to do so.

The best ones generally cost under $10 ... less than a cup of designer
coffee.

That blurb looks like it has since been updated to include electronic
digital units . It's available as a free download, even to non-MooseHuggers.

If for some reason the above link gets mangled, just go to the CMHC website
and enter "hygrometers" into the search box.
