evabody's got an opinion, right?--and this seems to boil down to that. It
does bring to mind Bernard Maybeck, who used a variation of the
intentionally randomized process for painting and stuccoing walls. He'd
supervise gunite operations, with multiple rigs charged with tinted mix,
directing the applicators to blast their mixes here and there. On the
Oakland Packard dealership project, "he positioned himself on an island
across from the building's shoreline site, and using a field telephone, he
directed the crew of spray gun operators. The building and its reflection
in the water formed a coherent composition..." --Bernard Maybeck Visionary
Architect by Sally Woodbridge

Local architect and natural builder Bill Hutchins has used a similar
approach on his interiors, too.

the point being, that I think the spatter approach has aesthetic potential,
as well as being a good solution to the issues of reuse and preservation.
