[Greenbuilding] wood vinegar as non-toxic wood treatment

I've not used vinegar, but I've heard that the borate based wood
preservatives are very safe and low in toxicity. Products like "Timbor"
(a borate power which is mixed with water) and Bora-Care. Both available
on the web.

I've had both recommended to me by pretty knowledgeable people and have
read the material safety docs and thought they looked pretty reasonable to
use.
