Well, if we are going to talk about tone, the tone in that sentence is 
more arrogant than I want to see.

True, but of little concern to most people.  Us energy geeks like to 
talk about energy, but it ISN'T energy that is important.  It is merely 
a convenient proxy for things like money, and environmental harm, that 
people DO care about.  If I could make everyone's house the perfect 
temperature, at $10 / year and no environmental impact, no one would 
CARE about the energy.  And no one would miss the likes of us going on 
endlessly about energy. :-)

For the record, BHE rates for residential customers are $0.09273 / 
kWh.   So, $20 per month is 215 kWh per month.  Seasonal variations, and 
a $13.08 minimum monthly charge, may skew that somewhat.

If there is/real/ interest in the actual numbers, I can contact my 
friends as GO logic, and post them here.
