[Greenbuilding] Water Softener Filters

I’m using potassium chloride and after it’s cleaned the filter it’s backwashed and only trace amounts of potassium come through on the receiving end. The tenant in question referenced the same study and I’m pointing out that a potassium sensitivity is not typical and that potassium is good for us as an essential mineral, in fact most of what I’ve found on-line points out the benefits of using Potassium Chloride for this reason. I’m also noting that many foods have potassium in them and that they would be contraindicated as much as the water for people with medical conditions. The problem isn’t the water, it’s the medical condition.

Of all the research I’ve done so far that Canadian study is the only one I’ve found that has anything negative to say about using potassium chloride.
