[Greenbuilding] anyone have experience with this?

Hi Reuben and all,

I actually own the Seek Thermal (no affiliation with them) phone attachment infrared camera. I bought their first version on Kickstarter and loved it, and now they have a higher resolution model and so I upgraded. It’s a slightly better unit than the FLIR for specs if I remember correctly. I’m pleased with the app, and the little unit. I have an iPhone. I would easily recommend the unit to others who know what they are doing with infrared. I have previously taken a FLIR course and had one of their large units, which I sold, since it had the same specs as this phone mounted unit. 

I would also caution, as many of us are professionals in the building field, that these units are only as smart as the users and infrared can give you false values if you don’t think about solar gain, heat, radiation, etc.
