I occasionally used to look at car specifications to determine my ideal
car. I simply became baffled by the differences in attributes and
measurements and never had the money anyway.
Nowadays I just go for something cheap, with no depreciation left and
70miles per (imperial) gallon. Like cars I expect we will end up with
many stove designs and fuel variations but all attaining certain key
emission requirements.
Being English I of course don't think the end justifies the means
