Dear Roger
Philip was basically saying exactly that, referring to using it in a diesel
engine. It means a fine mist does burn properly. With an atomised liquid
fuel coming out of an injector there may be no need for a secondary burn.
Poof and it's gone.

Has anyone tried to use a fuel injection system to "spray" bursts of finely
atomized Glycerine into a two stage burn chamber (gasifier/reburner bottom
fired) and are there any results I could find out about?
thank you...
