Global warming or not, I want to make charcoal from wood waste. There is  
too many mountains being torn down and too much wood going into landfills. I  
think the heat alone from burning fossil fuels is enough to create 
localized  heating. Go to a large city on a totally overcast day in the winter  and 
it is much warmer than in the surrounding farms. All those BTU's have  to 
end up some where.
