Dear Friends

0Cookstoves-web.pdf

In Appendix 1 (p.44) there is a chart that is the energy per kg of fuel
plotted against the delivered MJ. In other words they (O'Sullivan and Barnes
2007) took the number of delivered MJ of heat that gets into the pot per kg
of fuel burned.

I think this is quite out of date and that if the members of this list put
in their test results, the list would be very different, and create a very
different prediction of future scenarios.

This list should not be taken lying down. The data should be accumulated and
published or simply noised abroad. Recent developments in biomass
gasification, charcoal and coal burning stoves have changed the numbers
pretty dramatically.

There are many very useful charts in Appendix 1 so I again recommend a read
of this comprehensive review of improved stoves and the environments into
which they are sold.

Regards

Crispin
