Dear Paul,


Not really. The Gas-of-Fire 1000 has the option to allow the "hot zone"
to climb up the fire tube. This is a valuable option when shutting down
the gas produce. Yes, it is a downdraft. During normal operation the
"hot zone" hunts up and down as the charcoal is expunged from below.
