Dear Friends
http://www.ewi.ca/aboutus/FAQ.htm near the bottom.
They are pyrolysing tires for the steel and carbon black. They also produce
light oil with 44 MJ/kg heat content.
This might be a way to deal with old tires (hundreds of millions of them)
while making carbon and a burnable oil. The origin of the carbon is about
1:2 natural (trees) and synthetic (crude oil) plus carbon black which I
presume is made from coal.
Regards
Crispin
