[Stoves] New US Patent law change

Dear Roger,
there are a lot of patents granted in the USA in which the claims are
not verified. Perpetual motion machines were patented again and again.
Patents were also granted in the U.S on medical ideas that were not
tested. The hair on one's body turn white or grey because the body
stops producing an enzyme called tyrosinase. If grey or white hair are
kept immersed in a solution of tyrosinase, they turn black. I was told
that somebody patented the idea of making a hair oil containing this
enzyme. The patent must have by now been time barred, because I
personally know an Indian chemist, who tried to develop such a hair
oil. But so far nobody in the world has succeeded in developing such a
product. Our Institute, Appropriate Rural Technology Institute, has
achieved a high level of credibility in India and in many other
countries. If the person offering us the patent had also provided us
with funds to develop the idea, we would have certainly accepted the
offer, but he wanted to develop and market the idea , but wanted us to
lend our name to his project. We rejected the project, because the
idea looked fishy to me.
