ABOUT THIS PRESENTATION
Abstract: In this webinar, Dr. Hans-Georg Horn will discuss Aerosol
Sampling, Transport, and Conditioning. In particular, sampling from tube
flow including isokinetic and iso-axial sampling as well as sampling at
unknown flow conditions will be discuseed. Causes of particles losses in
transport tubing resulting from gravitational, inertial, diffusion,
electrostatic, and thermophoretic factors will all be explored; in addition
to such topics as coagulation during transport, flow splitting, and tips for
optimizing tube transport. Aerosol conditioning and dilution and ways to
avoid condensation will also be covered.
Dr. Horn will provide real aerosol measurement examples and will take
questions from the audience to further augment understanding of these
important aerosol measurement considerations.
About the Speaker: Dr. Hans-Georg Horn holds a PhD in Mechanical
Engineering/Nuclear Technology with specific expertise related to aerosols
in nuclear facilities, atmospheric particle transport, particle filtration,
and particle measurement. Dr. Horn is a delegate and member of several
standards committees related to particle measurement, including: DIN, CEN,
ISO, SAE, and VDI. He has serves as a Global Product Manager- New Product
Development at TSI.
Thank you for your registration. We look forward to your attendance!
