Dear "vintage stovers"..what a term...!!

When I had a look to this nice Envirofit window in their web site you
mention , I was excited to see big changes, maybe stove design close to
the max possible for one pot (50-60% efficiency), a bit disappointed to
see those design, close to 30 - 35%, that is the majority of standard
improved stoves performance..For sure, the thermal transfer is not
extendible..
Ok the look is nice, the durability to be evaluated, *if it's more than
5 years of daily use*, that will be real progress..any feedback on this
reality??
On combustion quality, sure cleaner than three stoves, but guys, don't
tell it honestly clean stoves, tell to users to cook in very well
ventilated places..There are some fundamentals in clean biomass
combustion we cannot play with..

So what can be interesting is to know where it's really largely
disseminated in developing countries, and to understand the reasons,
urban/rural, socio-economic places, typical daily meal..I'm afraid all
those technological effort was done a bit outside to the reality of LDC,
the poorest ones depending to biomass (charcoal and wood).

If you can tell me where it's a success, interesting to have a look and
to evaluate it with a range of objective
technology/socio/economical/environmental criteria to learn and maybe
change my mind about this type of pretty stoves..

Start and End by the field..before to say it's a nice step for
developing world users...

but for my barbecue party why not..:-)

To be continued
