[Stoves] Why TLUDs are not mass produced

Dear Stovers,

Nolbert is correct about the process we are developing in Uganda to have
a location making 12,000 to 15,000 flat-pack sets of pieces per year
using manual labor with appropriate tools . But he left out the part
that the production site can then be replicated as many times as is
needed to satisfy the market. And those sites can be placed
appropriately around the country. Eight (8) sites would produce over
100,000 stoves per year. And what we will do in Uganda we will
facilitate in other countries with appropriately cooperating local
persons and businesses there, and with appropriate variations of TLUDs
to match the local markets.

Please note our name: Awamu It means "together" in the Luganda
language. Awamu = Juntos = Ensemble = Sath-Sath = Together. And that
could include you. Direct inquires should be made OFF-LIST to me at

Our plans should have evaluated results in Uganda by the time we all
meet in Cambodia for the GACC Forum in March 2013. And the comments
about low-cost natural draft TLUDs should include this statement:
"TLUDs are being mass produced".
