[Stoves] Alternatives to charcoal

Amigos, 
Please do not leave out the other options resulting from the blending of charcoal dust and crumbs with  agro residues into the hollow core briquette.. It's a whole new ballgame of performance, and environmental balance issues.

The above is 7 yrs old.. We now have about 45 more national producer trainer experiences to draw upon. (The 25% - 45% charcoal blend ratio, is like all the rest,  is based on dry weight ambient humidity of feedstock). The higher the charcoal content the more it performs like charcoal but generally by the 40% mark, assuming a good selection, processing and densification of the ago residue faction (like any good local producer earning their income off the sale lf such well knows) ,  you have something effectively as hot as the total briquette's mass equivalent of same charcoal in-situ. Take the average wood fire collect the charcoal remaining pulverize it and blend it into an ago residue briquette. Better yet, pulverize the charcoal remaining from the agro residue briquette after you use it for cooking?There is your bio char plus the heat normally lost in making it..

What am I missing ?

Next, I think you can (very) safely assume that any charcoal stove will deliver 1.5 times as much heat per available MJ into a pot. I aim higher than that but let's stick to average mediocre wood and charcoal stoves. A pretty ordinary charcoal stove will deliver 40% of the energy available to the pot. 

I don't know how that affects the outcome but it is the reality re the processed v.s. unprocessed fuels (char vs wood).
