Stovers,

The work by Jed (Joshua Guinto) and his mentors Rok Oblak and Richard 
Stanley merits closer attention.   I looked at the report (link is given 
below) and saw much more than a pretty stove. There is serious design 
work evident.   Be sure to see the sectional diagram showing the fuel 
and air flows.

By the way, Roket is the correct spelling for the Rocket stove 
technology as modified by Rok to use the holey briquettes.

Now, serious testing and possible refinements (relating to the 
briquettes, gaps, grates, secondary air holes, materials, etc) is 
justified and needs some outside support.

I hope that someone with funding resources has actually read the 
preceding sentence.  Funders who claim to be "technology neutral" but 
insist correctly on supporting the best stoves need to be more 
supportive of the grassroots innovations.  A small amount of assistance 
can mean great progress later.
