Through this April Newsletter, SNV wishes to give you a broad overview of its wide range of activities in the renewable energy sector. From innovative thinking around wood-fuel value chains to strategic partnerships with mobile operators for the dissemination of solar products, and from the design of tailored financial mechanisms for renewable energy diffusion, to the creation of a web platform to raise knowledge on advanced cooking solutions, SNV is acting and promoting innovation on multiple fronts.

Solar news: the Power out of Poverty partnership in Benin


SNV Benin is teaming up with MTN, Africa's largest mobile network operator, to bring modern solar power products to 6.5 million people relying on traditional fuels in Benin.

GazoRiz: enhancing local food security through rice husk gasification

One month ago, SNV joined its forces with two leading manufacturers and an incubator for inclusive business to develop an affordable milk chilling device powered by biogas for electricity deprived farmers in Africa.
