[Stoves] Nozzles for TLUDs Re: venturi system -ratios of air and gas?

Friends, if you insert an hour glass into a TLUD in place of a concentrator plate with a hole in it, you will have created a "combustion chamber" between the top and bottom of the hour glass. It may prove useful to have the hour glass be asymmetrical. It's bottom might be very different from its top. For one, I suggest a much larger bottom. This will keep air from entering the fuel zone from the top as well as force the rising gases to the edges where they will meet the secondary air. The geometry of the top might not be a solid plate. The question is which geometries create the optimum combination of residence time, turbulence, and velocity.

Cheers,

Jock
