[Stoves] Stoves, biochar and Trump

Dear Stovers
Stoving has never really had any relationship to climate change. The impact
of biofuel use on carbon emissions is, almost by definition, zero. It comes
down to what do you really mean, when you say "clean cookstove".

Dear Stovers and Charists (each group to have its own responses. If
you want both sets, join both Listservs)

Number one: Let's have NO ranting and non-constructive messages on our
listservs. Stick to the topic of Trump's impact on stoves and biochar.

The reality is President Donald Trump taking office on 20 January 2017.
His stated positions about climate change (non-believer) and other
environmental isssues (restrictions on US EPA) and energy policies (favors
more oil) do not seem to favor stove and biochar positions.

Could he change? Maybe. What is equally important is how far will the
Republican-led US Congress go.

Certainly it looks like the USA will not be as supportive of GACC and other
efforts as is the past situation.
