Dear all, 

here is the next ‚Stove Camp' type of event coming up in Africa for english speaking participants. I am proud to announce the 6th consecutive edition of the now called Cleaner Cooking Camp (short CCC) in Malawi. 

Find further info below. 

Open Day on the 5th June is going to be at the recently inaugurated National stadium in the capital Lilongwe (40,000 seats…. so there will be plenty of room)

It is an opportunity for stove manufacturers and other renewable energy producers/promoters to display products to a wider audience. Participation for Open Day is free, for the CCC there is a registration fee to cover meals. 

If you are curious to know more contact Mbumba (some of you might remember her from the GACC 2013 forum in Cambodia) or Ezgi (she was at GACC forum in Ghana in 2015) on the contacts mentioned below.

Registration for the Cleaner Cooking Camp

Dear Colleagues,

A quick reminder!! The sixth edition of the Cleaner Cooking Camp Malawi (CCC) will be held  from June 6-8 of 2017 during the World Climate Week . The event will take place in Lilongwe under the lead of the National Cookstove Steering Committee, chaired by the Department of Energy.

As a novelty, the 2017 CCC Open Day for the general public will be held at Bingu National Sports Stadium prior to the CCC sessions on Monday 5 June, to coincide with the World Environment Day led by the Department of Environment.

CCC intensive sessions aimed at field practitioners will take place from Tuesday to Thursday  6 - 8th  June  2017. THE SESSIONS WILL BE HELD AT Sol Farm.

This year’s Cleaner Cooking Camp discussions will focus on Malawi’s way forward towards “2 million cleaner cookstoves by 2020”: How far are we and what needs to be done? What are the supply and demand side bottlenecks? What could be possible solutions for uptakes?
