Stovers,

There is an Action Plan for stove work in Haiti in English. The GACC has a
group of people interested in stoves for Haiti (open to anyone to join who
has an active interest in Haiti). Read the GACC message below, followed
by my comments for further discussion.

Dear All,

It has been a few months since we were last in Port-au-Prince and we wanted
to update you on the Alliance's planned engagement in Haiti. We are excited
to report that it looks likely that we will begin implementation of the
Action Plan this spring. We hope to re-engage with you all in Haiti in the
next couple of months and we will share more details as they become
available.

In the meantime, please find attached the French and English versions of the
Action Plan for the Transformation of the Cookstoves and Fuels Market. We
greatly appreciate your contributions to the development of this plan. This
Action Plan should be seen as a living document that will evolve as the
sector develops.

We look forward to working together to support the development of a thriving
and sustainable market for clean cooking in Haiti.

Kind Regards,

The Alliance Haiti Team

PSA comments:

1. The Action Plan is dated September 2017 when there was a request for
comments. It appears that the exact same plan has been approved (no
changes indicated) to be implemented. The suggestions from the comments
have not been made available. It is hard to believe that there were zero
comments that could have modified the plan.

2. This is a many-multi-million dollar program with mainly Canadian funding
(if I remember correctly).

Open for discussion on the Stove Listserv (which I am sure is read by some
in the GACC who will call this discussion to the attention of those in
charge of the Haiti work..

Paul
