Thanks for the link to that TLUD stove.  There seems to be some interesting
ideas, but their gas flame looks to 'diffusionist' to me.

Some of us have been experimenting with porous burners and passing flames
through grids.  This video looks like quite an extreme example, but does it
work over a wide range of specific gasification rates?
