Julian solution is simple scrape out the char  d pound it abit to sand sized crumbs then add it to a wet process briquette it will add to its hest and duration burn cleanly and … well check it out on our ngo website www.legacyfound.org

Something just occurred to me.  If a large amount of char is allowed to accumulate at the bottom of a TLUD, and the primary air flow is low, is there a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning?
