Dear KevinRice Husk, by itself, is a very good insulation. Just pack it in the cavity.To make bricks, replace cementitious material upto 40% by weight by rice husk ash which will provide strength as well as waterproofing qualities.Or make a brick and just coat it with rice husk ash and a little cement for water proofing.RegardsAshok
