Dear Ashok et al,
Is there any mass production of bricks where they use such a mixture, is there any lab testing done on this: ex-factory quality and quality on-site for use with cook stoves? What about complexity to make it and cost? Any pros and cons?
With regards,
Willem

Dear Kevin
Rice Husk, by itself, is a very good insulation. Just pack it in the cavity.
To make bricks, replace cementitious material upto 40% by weight by rice husk ash which will provide strength as well as waterproofing qualities.
Or make a brick and just coat it with rice husk ash and a little cement for water proofing.
Regards
Ashok

We want to do this with our brick cookstove? Does anyone have experiences they can share?
