[Gasification] methanol

CO+H2 over the proper catalyst = mostly methanol and small amounts of other things. This can be done at lower temps and pressures than ever before but if the gas is not pure (2 parts per BILLION, yes with a B) of CO2 will poison the catalyst.
Now, is there anyone out there doing this on a small scale? I was thinking that if the feedstock was cheap enough that a fairly inefficient process would still work. ( older catalyst with higher temps and pressure on a small scale) Any thoughts?
Best regards,

This useful liquid is a convenient way with which to store energy, especially if it can be used for powering transportation. The raw materials are reasonably easy to acquire. CO+hydrogen= Methane. or natural gas. which is available to the fortunate.

This substance is widely used by paint manufacturers, they add it to skimmed milk and probably sliced bread (white). If you think of a UV sterilizing lamp or perhaps corona discharge, both of which can produce O3 or even O4 then think what you can do with
