[Greenbuilding] Induction cooking

I recommend induction range (no oven), Brevell Oven (smaller electric oven
with precise temp and time controls) and microwave. This covers all our
cooking needs, even roasting the holiday turkey, although cut in half. This
combination greatly reduces electric load for cooking, making grid tied
photovoltaic array smaller and still achieve net zero. It also reduces heat
dumped into the house. Waste heat can be a benefit in the winter, but a
liability for comfort in the summer and an
additional energy cost above the heat dumped if cooled to comfort. The
reduced dumped heat in the winter can be duplicated with a simple heat
element heater to match the efficiency of normally inefficient cooking
ranges.

If one is set up for a typical "stove" with a cooktop and oven, and
wants induction, is one forced to go with an electric oven--not gas?
