Years ago before Don Fugler had retired from CMHC he had put together a
homeowner's guide to managing humidity.
It included a blurb on the types of hygrometers that are readily available.
It recommended those which the homeowner can calibrate themselves and
provided instructions on how to do so.
The best ones generally cost under $10 ... less than a cup of designer
coffee.
That blurb looks like it has since been updated to include electronic
digital units . It's available as a free download, even to
non-MooseHuggers.
